Learn to DIY at our Halethorpe Restore |

Help us refurbish some of our wood furniture for resale and learn basic skills to give old furniture new life! The completed items will be sold to support the mission of building affordable housing.
This is a two day opportunity that will include:
Day 1 August 17, 2024 at 10:30 am
- learning how to assess the structural integrity and stability of a piece of wood furniture
- learning how to sand, stain and apply finishes.
Day 2 August 24, 2024 at 10:30 am
- Finish the piece by painting it and creating a custom stencil!

Some things to note about volunteering at our ReStore's:
- Sturdy, thick-soled, closed-footed shoes (NO Crocs) are required.
- Wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting dirty.
- Water is provided. Bringing a refillable water bottle is recommended.
- Volunteers must be 14 or older to participate. Volunteers 14-15 years old must be accompanied by a chaperone. Volunteers 16 years or older do not need a chaperone.
Halethorpe ReStore - IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION:
- There are ample number of parking spots
- DO NOT park in front of any of the loading zones!
