This opportunity is for the Full Day Shift from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm

- Log in and go to “Opportunity Responses”. Find the shift and select “Unregister” from the drop-down menu and “Yes” to confirm.
Columbia ReStore - IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION:
- The store entrance is located around the back of the building in the loading dock area.
- Parking is limited. Carpooling is recommended, if possible.
- DO NOT park in front of any of the loading zones!
AGE REQUIREMENT
Volunteers must be 14 or older to participate.
Volunteers 14 and 15 years old must be accompanied by a chaperone for the duration of the shift.
Volunteers 16 and older do not need a chaperone.
DRESS CODE
Sturdy closed-footed shoes are required (No crocs, high heels, or open-toed shoes).
Wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting dirty. As a safety consideration, avoid loose-fitting or baggy clothes.
No dangly jewelry or clothing items that could get caught or snagged on something.
No clothing with offensive or inappropriate language, images, or symbols.
ARRIVAL
All volunteers MUST sign-in for their shifts on the iPad/computer kiosk and sign out before leaving.
Please arrive on time and commit to working the entire shift.

WHAT TO EXPECT VOLUNTEERING AT THE RESTORE
Water is provided. Bringing a refillable water bottle is recommended.
Please leave any valuables at home, in your locked vehicle, or on your person at all times. Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.
VOLUNTEER TASKS
Tasks may vary based on available projects during your volunteer shift. Potential tasks may include:
- Receiving donations.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Assembling donated products.
- Stocking store shelves.
- Sorting materials (hardware, tile, tools, etc.).
- Merchandising (building and creating displays).
- Pricing inventory.
- Assisting with sales.
- Greeting and customer service.
- Basic maintenance (sweeping, cleaning and organizing aisles).
- DIY projects
- Painting
- And much more!
CELL PHONE POLICY
Because cell phone usage poses a safety hazard on ReStore sites, we ask that there is no active usage during your volunteer shift. We encourage you to take pictures, as soon as you do, please put your phone away. If you need to take a call, please take a step outside.
