We are looking forward to having you join us on site. Please read this description for the most up to date information.
Scope of Work: Anything goes! Interior priming/painting, flooring, exterior landscape/fencing, site clean up.
Location: 4100 Wilsby Ave, Baltimore, MD, 21218
Parking: Street parking is available on Wilsby Ave, Cator Ave, and other surrounding streets near build site.
Schedule:
9am – Arrival/check-in
9:15am – Orientation: This includes our Safety Orientation that ALL volunteers are required to receive every time they come on site.
9am-11:30am – Working to complete the assigned tasks for the day.
11:30am-12pm – Lunch
12pm-2:30pm – Working to complete the assigned afternoon tasks.
2:30pm-3pm – Clean up and closing remarks.
Dress Code and Suggestions: Please wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. As a safety consideration, avoid loose-fitting or baggy clothes. Please check the weather before you come out and dress accordingly.
Sturdy, thick-soled, closed footed shoes are required (No Crocs). We strongly recommend wearing boots; however, we realize that not all volunteers own a pair of boots. Our Site Supervisors have final say as to if a certain type of shoe is allowed on the construction site.
Please leave any valuables at home or on your person at all times. Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.
We encourage you to take pictures, as soon as you do, please put your phone away. If you need to take a call, please take a step outside.
Lunch/Water: Please bring your own lunch and snacks. We will have a cooler of bottled water on site. We encourage bringing a personal water bottle as well as this helps us cut down on plastic waste.
